When someone says the word community in my mind a picture
comes in where group of people living together. I think it is a basic
definition of community where people living because in such area because of
their common interests, social group etc. Every community had rules, regulation
and laws, which everyone follows to be more civilize. After the Internet and
worldwide web virtual communities are founded. Technology formed virtual
communities. Technology provides us tools to communicate with them. Facebook, Instagram,
Twitter, YouTube, Online Gaming, Canvas etc. all the social networking sites
provides to communications tools to people. It helps formed virtual community.
It works just like real word where you can talk somebody if like. You can
ignore or even you can block somebody who you do not want to communicate or
socialize. Now days people spend more time on social networking site than real
their families. People prefer texting, snapchating to communicate than talk
face to face or on the phone.

Presentation- Google Glasses by Manmeet
Google
glasses were launch in April 15, 2013. Google first started selling the
prototype Glass Explorer for limited time. Since may 15 2015 they started
selling Google X. Google glasses are not your normal fancy glasses because they were developed
with the mission of producing ubiquitous computer means people can have
easy access of computer and internet anywhere. Google glasses had touchpad on
side which allowing
users to control the device by swiping through a timeline like interface
displayed on the screen. Sliding backward shows current events, such as
weather, and sliding forward shows past events, such as phone calls, photos,
etc. Google Glass also had camera and has the ability to take photos and record
720p HD video. It can also act on your command.
Google
glasses are vital tool to use in army. It can provide quick feedback to
headquarter about combat situation. On the other hand many people consider Google
glasses as intrusion to their privacy because people record your conversations
and make video of you without your knowledge. At many stores, restaurants and
public places people are not allowed to use Google glasses. Google glasses are
also quite expensive starting price is $1500 which quite a lot money. Overall Google
glasses are good investments.

Convergence
Convergence was one of the best and interesting topics I learned in
this class. Convergence is a coming
together of two or more technologies to work. Data throughput is rate at
which things are processed and how fast data gets transferred. Access is people
are able to get a certain technology.
Computational Speed is Moore's Law, in which he said that
computational speeds will double every two years. Lots of big companies in past
and present working together to provide better products and service to people.
Some phone companies are using android apps to run their system. Many companies today
spend most of their budgets on maintenance and operations rather than improved
operation or innovation convergence helps them to reduce it.

Three things that I won’t buy online
- The first thing that I would never buy online would be house. House is one of the biggest and expensive investments. So would never investing big money without checking the properly because you never if the add is scam or fake.
- The second thing that I would not buy online grocery because many popular website send you the grocery which will very soon.
- The third thing I prefer not to buy online is used car because often time people sell their cars that had problems that they tell you. Without test drive I would never bought used car.

Scavenger Hunt
The Scavenger Hunt exercise was based on internet search. All the questions were based on internet online information. It was fun activity and I was surprised about see how much personal information you can find in seconds without moving going anywhere. Some of the question were easy and some required time and deep digging. We divide the questions into our group. If one our group member struggle on a we will help them to find the answer. Some of questions like find the Married name of Andrew Fry's middle sister was quite challenging and rquired lots of search at the we answer all the questions. It was surprising that we came second and win $5 gift card. It was good activity for group work.
