Startup.com movie was based on true story. It is based on
recession that took place in 2000s when lots of IT companies got bankruptcy.
Documentary start with two friends Kaleil Isaza Tuzman and Tom Herman who try to open online
company called Govworks.Com where people can pay their parking tickets, tax online.
They started their company in 1998s during dot.com boom era. Company becomes
huge success in short period of time. As company expands they start hiring more
people. After company become huge success people start investing money and
buying company shares. Tuzman also got the chance to meet up president Bill
Clinton due to their popularity and people’s interest of investing money into
company. Both partner and friends were living luxury and celebrity lifestyle.
In 2000s it all comes to an end when company file their bankruptcy. They
couldn’t keep up their competitors because Tuzman let the competitors see their
ideas and workplace. Govework.com could not keep to completions and in 2000s company
got shutdown.

What Makes community and Does Tech Provide
When someone says the word community in my mind a picture
comes in where group of people living together. I think it is a basic
definition of community where people living because in such area because of
their common interests, social group etc. Every community had rules, regulation
and laws, which everyone follows to be more civilize. After the Internet and
worldwide web virtual communities are founded. Technology formed virtual
communities. Technology provides us tools to communicate with them. Facebook, Instagram,
Twitter, YouTube, Online Gaming, Canvas etc. all the social networking sites
provides to communications tools to people. It helps formed virtual community.
It works just like real word where you can talk somebody if like. You can
ignore or even you can block somebody who you do not want to communicate or
socialize. Now days people spend more time on social networking site than real
their families. People prefer texting, snapchating to communicate than talk
face to face or on the phone.
Presentation- Google Glasses by Manmeet
Google
glasses were launch in April 15, 2013. Google first started selling the
prototype Glass Explorer for limited time. Since may 15 2015 they started
selling Google X. Google glasses are not your normal fancy glasses because they were developed
with the mission of producing ubiquitous computer means people can have
easy access of computer and internet anywhere. Google glasses had touchpad on
side which allowing
users to control the device by swiping through a timeline like interface
displayed on the screen. Sliding backward shows current events, such as
weather, and sliding forward shows past events, such as phone calls, photos,
etc. Google Glass also had camera and has the ability to take photos and record
720p HD video. It can also act on your command.
Google
glasses are vital tool to use in army. It can provide quick feedback to
headquarter about combat situation. On the other hand many people consider Google
glasses as intrusion to their privacy because people record your conversations
and make video of you without your knowledge. At many stores, restaurants and
public places people are not allowed to use Google glasses. Google glasses are
also quite expensive starting price is $1500 which quite a lot money. Overall Google
glasses are good investments.

Convergence
Convergence was one of the best and interesting topics I learned in
this class. Convergence is a coming
together of two or more technologies to work. Data throughput is rate at
which things are processed and how fast data gets transferred. Access is people
are able to get a certain technology.
Computational Speed is Moore's Law, in which he said that
computational speeds will double every two years. Lots of big companies in past
and present working together to provide better products and service to people.
Some phone companies are using android apps to run their system. Many companies today
spend most of their budgets on maintenance and operations rather than improved
operation or innovation convergence helps them to reduce it.
